Opportunity

Grupo La República is the second largest print and digital media organization in Perú, owning several print news publications including La República, El Popular, and Libero.

Instead of being disrupted, they decided to become the disruptors.

Deployment

Streann enabled Grupo La República to embark on a digital upgrade, by evolving from a print content to a new 360-media model, including non-linear, and on-demand TV built for the mobile world.

Together, we implemented the following proprietary features:

  • Data-driven media: Grupo La República now offers content to their audiences based on their behavior and preferences.
  • News feed: We enabled a visual approach to journalism, allowing RTV to connect with their audience at a multimedia level.
  • Selfie Ads: Grupo La Repúbica built engagement capabilities with its audiences, through the Selfie ads feature, in several TV shows.

Results

Thanks to the successful implementation, RTV has increased its global audience by over 1,000,000 potential new users through its groundbreaking app RTV.

“Building upon our legacy in newspapers, we are now the most innovative media group in Peru.”

Alfieri Noce, CTO
