Streann is proud to announce the successful completion of the Santiago 2023 Panam Games. The app, with unique TV 3.0 features, powered by Streann, became the top trending in the Americas, as millions of spectators downloaded and experienced the future of content.

Streann elevated the Panam Games viewing experience to unprecedented heights with its revolutionary live multi-screen content experience. With an impressive selection of 18 new layouts and 18 live channels (9 in Spanish and 9 in English), viewers had an immersive and customizable interface that enhanced their connection to sports. More than 2,000 hours of live sports were available on the Panam Sports Channel website, mobile apps, and Smart TV applications.

  • The opening ceremony alone reached 302,000 views while the closing ceremony drew an impressive 837,864 views, surpassing the viewership on traditional platforms like YouTube.
  • Streann Media and the Panam Games achieved a milestone, attracting a staggering 25 million unique viewers during the competitions, setting a new record for sports content streaming.
  • The top 3 countries with the most user registrations were Chile at the top, followed by Mexico and the United States.
  • The distribution of mobile consumption revealed a preference for Android (59%) over iOS (35%), reflecting the adaptability and inclusivity of Streann’s technology.
  • The interactive nature of the app was on full display as Mexico led the charts in mobile chat interactions, closely followed by the USA, Peru, and Chile, illustrating the truly global nature of the event.
  • The event’s diverse and inclusive online community was evident, with women contributing significantly, accounting for more than 38% of mobile app chat interactions.
  • The top 5 sports with the highest viewership were: athletics (35%), handball (18%), football (17%), swimming (15%) and diving (15%).
  • In the highly competitive Apple Store, the Panam Sports app, powered by Streann, emerged as a trendsetter in the Americas with 1.8 million downloads, showcasing the widespread popularity and influence of Strean TV 3.0. It claimed the top spot in countries like Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Argentina, and Colombia, and ranked 66th in the USA.

The success goes beyond mere viewership numbers:

  • The app facilitated active participation, with over 345,000 individuals taking part in live game surveys through the app. This engagement created a dynamic and participatory sports streaming experience.
  • More than 1.4 million hours of video usage were clocked across all platforms, highlighting the sheer magnitude of the Panam Games viewership.
  • Streann’s TV 3.0 technology extended its dominance to Connected TVs, with FireTV leading the charge, followed closely by Roku and AppleTV.
